The Rules

Not all dolls can be included in this database. Please read the rules below for information regarding doll inclusion.

Dolls that are not allowed include, but are not limited to the following: Barbie, Monster High, Pullips, Obitsu, Granado Vindoll, Vinyl Volks, and Vinyl Dolfie Dream dolls.

01.

Resin ball-jointed dolls only.

All dolls must be made of resin. This means they must be cast in a liquid two-part system using a mold (usually silicone). All dolls made of injection-molded plastic or vinyl* cannot be included in this database. Resin 3D printed dolls are okay, as long as they are strung, jointed, and do not have rooted hair.

02.

Dolls must be strung.

All does must be held together by elastic cord or string. Dolls that have an internal posable structure are not allowed. Dolls that have a "hinge" joint are not allowed.

03.

Dolls cannot have rooted hair.

Rooted hair means the doll's hair is pushed through a series of holes in the head. Examples of dolls with rooted hair are Barbie and Monster High.

Molded hair is okay. Molded hair is defined as removable or permanent resin hair.

04.

No mass produced dolls.

Dolls that are massed produced are usually done so using plastic and injection molding machines in an automated factory.

Basically, if you can go pick up a doll in a supermarket or similar store, the doll is not allowed.

05.

Pet/Non-Human Dolls

As long as the doll fits into all the above criteria, the doll is allowed. The doll has to be jointed in some way. Solid resin objects with no jointing are not allowed.

Blind Box Ball-jointed Dolls

I have considered allowing these strung ball-jointed dolls into the database. Most of these dolls are only available through a blind box method and are YoSD-sized. UFDoll, however, offers non-blind box dolls in SD/Uncle sizes and are hard to differentiate from their resin counterparts.

If you haven't seen the database limitation elsewhere on this site, I would like to inform you that the highest tier (for SaaS) only allows 250,000 rows. These rows are shared between dolls, companies, resin comparisons, and website members (one doll = one row).

If I get enough requests, I might set up a separate database for these. I could also go ahead and include them in the current database, but they would have to be deleted to make room for resin dolls if need be.
